Who is the Social Club for?
It is for learners and French speakers who want to connect, practise the language, and enjoy real exchanges in a welcoming atmosphere! You do not need to be a current student of French Happy Hours to join the Social Club. Everybody is welcome!
Do I need to be fluent to join?
There is no need to have perfect French. The aim is participation, confidence and connection. The environment is designed to be supportive and open. Many people join precisely because they want to build confidence in a more natural and relaxed environment, so you are not expected to be outgoing or fluent. You are simply welcome to come as you are!
Is the Social Club a lesson?
Not exactly. It complements lessons by giving French a more social, spontaneous and lived dimension. It is a space where the language becomes part of experience, not only study.
What kind of events do you organize?
The Social Club usually includes two main types of events:
Saturday evenings are more relaxed social gatherings, often built around some food, conversation and sometimes wine (for those who enjoy it, of course!). The atmosphere is easygoing, welcoming and pressure-free.
Sunday events are more cultural and can include museums, exhibitions, sightseeing, neighbourhood discoveries and other activities that allow people to enjoy Paris while practising French. Sunday outings are designed to be accessible and enjoyable, whether you are passionate about culture or simply happy to discover something new in good company!
Do I need to register in advance?
Registration in advance is usually recommended or required for Sunday outings, depending on the event. This helps keep the group experience pleasant and well organized.
Sometimes some events may have limited places, especially when they involve cultural visits. Registering early is always a good idea.
