Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you may want to know before starting with French Happy Hours. Because choosing the right learning environment matters, we will answer the most common questions about lessons, formats, goals, scheduling and what to expect when learning with us
What kind of French lessons do you offer?
French Happy Hours offers personalized online French lessons for adults, including one-to-one lessons, group formats, exam preparation (DELF, DALF, TCF and naturalization) and speaking-focused support. The approach is designed to help you build practical French for real-life use.
I have never studied French before. Are there courses for me?
Yes! Each lesson is tailored to your current level, your objectives and the situations in which you want to use French. If you are a beginner we will start from scratch (level A1). I will make sure to use contents adapted specifically to your needs and give you personalized feedback in a encouraging and supportive way.
How do I know my level?
If you are unsure of your current level we can discuss it before starting. This will help me understand where you are now so the lessons can be adapted well.
Are lessons individual or in groups?
Both are possible. Some students prefer one-to-one lessons for highly personalized support, while others enjoy the interaction of group learning. We can talk about your level, your goals and your availability, then decide which format makes the most sense for you.
Is French Happy Hours suitable for people living in France?
Of course! It is especially relevant for people who want French to become a natural part of their everyday life in France. Many students want to feel more comfortable in daily conversations, appointments, errands and social situations.
Are lessons suitable for professionals?
Yes! Many learners want stronger French for meetings, interviews, emails, presentations, workplace relationships, or just more general professional confidence. Lessons can be adapted to professional contexts and specific needs.
Do I need to commit long term?
Not necessarily. Some learners are looking for steady long-term progress, while others need focused short-term support. The structure can be discussed according to your situation.
How often can I take lessons?
That depends on your goals, your availability and the kind of rhythm that works for you. Some students choose regular weekly lessons, while others prefer a more intensive period or a flexible format.
